Where the fucks my car...
What a load of bollocks, parked on a single yellow well before kick off, just opposite the East Ham working Men's club. Parked there loads of times, but today it seems they have decided to lift and tow away all cars.

I thought the car had been stolen, but the police, who agreed it's bang out of order and nothing to do with them told me it had probably been lifted. So left me stranded there! Had to get to Barking car pound shithole dump to get the car. back. £265 lighter and two hours later it gets worse as they won't let you leave without your insurance certificate, passport and drivers licence, as if everyone carries all that shit.

There were about 6 of us, all West Ham supporters, who had their cars lifted, all trying to contact their insurance companies to to email the cover notes, and to get passports, it was farcical.

Luckily for me apparently Newham council are lenient with West ham fans, so if you have your season ticket card as proof you went to the game they let you go without having to get the insurance certificate as they realise a lot of people have to get home and don't live nearby.

It's a fucking farce, totally out of order, and ruined a great day at football. Roll on Stratford, i'm totally finished trying to get to that shit hole, it's the train for me now.

Re: Where the fucks my car...
It's £5 to park up to 5 hours and £9 for 24 hours. £1.50 for anytime after 6pm until 2am so not bad for evening games.

Re: Where the fucks my car...
For years I never once had a problem getting a space at Newham General, even 30 mins before kick off. Seems to be constantly rammed from at least an hour or two before kick off now.

Can anyone that has only started parking there recently please bugger off?

Clearly as I have been parking there for a long time, I am more deserving of a parking space than anyone else (including those people visiting ill people in the hospital clogging it up too).

Re: Where the fucks my car...
To be fair, I'll get the train more often when we move. 12 min from ebbsfleet to Stratford compared to fucking around with the tubes now.

Re: Where the fucks my car...
It's being made what tyey call "Event day no parking" like they did for the Olympics and the Rugby.

You might be lucky and find a place they have missed but they are going to go all out to stop parking on the street. I have relations not far away and they have got to apply for permits.

Re: Where the fucks my car...
Westfield will be 9.50

they will probably stick it up, again.

Sign up for the casino and you get a few free parking permits.

But I imagine they'll stop that

Why bother driving to the OS with all the train lines on the doorstep?
It's not so much the parking as getting in and out.

Re: Where the fucks my car...
Can't see parking being too hard at the OS - so many industrial units within 10-15 min walk, they will all want a bit of the action with the parking.

Re: Where the fucks my car...
Street parking is fast becoming a thing of the past round there. I gave up with it years ago. It is fast becoming residents only and Newham are going to make it 100% all resident parking soon.

There will be none at all at the OS although I have heard Westfield will be a fiver.
